Title:  Junior ServiceNow Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: Initial 6 months contract with possible extensions

Position Summary

We are seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to support the development, configuration, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. This role will partner closely with senior developers, administrators, business analysts, and key stakeholders to build and support solutions that improve business processes, automate workflows, and enhance the overall user experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their ServiceNow career who is eager to grow their technical skills while contributing to enterprise platform initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, configuration, and customization of ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Develop and maintain workflows, forms, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Script Includes, and integrations under the guidance of senior developers.
• Support platform enhancements, defect resolution, and routine maintenance activities.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow modules while following development best practices and platform standards.
• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and deployment of new functionality.
• Support integration efforts between ServiceNow and other enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub where applicable.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, configuration guides, and knowledge articles.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Stay current with ServiceNow platform capabilities, new releases, and development best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience developing or configuring ServiceNow solutions.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web technologies.
• Experience configuring one or more ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or CMDB.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow development concepts including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
• Understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
• Basic understanding of ITIL concepts and IT Service Management processes.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or willingness to obtain certification.
• Exposure to Service Portal, Employee Center, or App Engine.
• Experience with source control tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with scripting in PowerShell or Python.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow environments.
