Capital Markets Advisory Associate - FIG - Selby Jennings

The Role:

As an Associate, you will play a key role in the execution of complex capital markets and advisory transactions while working directly with senior bankers and corporate clients. You will be responsible for leading analytical workstreams, developing financial models, preparing client presentations, and supporting transaction execution from inception through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and reviewing complex financial models and valuation analyses
• Preparing client presentations, board materials, and investor marketing documents
• Supporting the execution of equity, debt, hybrid capital, and strategic advisory transactions
• Conducting industry, company, and capital structure analysis across FIG sectors
• Managing transaction processes and coordinating with clients, investors, legal advisers, and other stakeholders
• Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team environment

Candidate Profile:

• 3-7 years of experience within Investment Banking, from a Strategic Advisory, M&A or PCA team
  
• Strong Financial Institutions Group (FIG) experience
  
• Strong understanding of capital markets products and capital structures
• Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Outstanding analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
• A strong academic background from a leading university
