Quick Overview
Job Description
Mineral Resources (MinRes) is delivering a major transformation programme implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), including the Dynaway Asset Management module, across its operations.
Following a successful Finance go-live, we are moving into the Asset Management deployment phase. We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Coordinator to join our in-house project delivery team and coordinate the planning, sequencing and delivery of migration activity for the first business-unit deployment.
This role is on a 9-month fixed-term contract.
This is an important opportunity to establish the migration patterns, data standards and reusable documentation that will support future deployments across the organisation. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work closely with technical delivery teams and business stakeholders to ensure migration activity remains on track, decisions are made promptly and data is validated for go-live.
Key responsibilities- Develop and maintain detailed migration plans across functional locations, assets and asset structures, maintenance plans, jobs and maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate packages of work through all migration stages, from extraction and transformation through to validated loading in D365 F&O.
- Plan and facilitate iterative trial migrations and mock cutovers, capturing lessons learned and improving outcomes with each cycle.
- Coordinate technical and business activities to keep data mapping, transformation logic and load activities on schedule.
- Engage stakeholders to agree transformation rules, data standards and acceptable data-quality thresholds.
- Help establish clear business ownership and sign-off accountability for in-scope asset-data domains.
- Maintain migration documentation, including mapping specifications, transformation rules, decision and issue logs, cutover runbooks, and post-migration validation reports.
- Support deployment-readiness planning by identifying, sequencing and managing migration dependencies across the broader delivery plan.
You will be an organised and pragmatic delivery professional who can bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. You will be comfortable navigating complex source data, competing priorities and organisational ambiguity while maintaining clear governance and momentum.
Essential experience and capabilities:- Demonstrated experience coordinating or managing data-migration workstreams for ERP or CMMS implementations.
- A sound understanding of data transformation, mapping and load activities.
- Experience planning work across multiple source systems, business units and varying levels of data quality.
- Proven ability to develop detailed migration plans, cutover runbooks and structured work packages.
- Experience running governance routines, including stakeholder updates, issue and risk logs, and decision registers.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work credibly with technical teams, subject-matter experts and senior business representatives.
- Knowledge of D365 F&O data migration concepts and the Data Management Framework (DMF).
- Experience with D365 Asset Management and/or Dynaway.
- Understanding of asset and maintenance data, including functional locations, asset hierarchies and maintenance plans.
- Experience with Pronto ERP, legacy CMMS platforms, Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tools.
- Exposure to mining, resources, marine or other heavy-industry environments.
- Experience supporting data governance, master-data management or reusable migration standards across multiple business units. PD - Data Migra inator.pdf
