Job Description

In this role, you will help support the nutritional well-being of residents by leading dietary operations that are organized, compliant, and centered on consistent service. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys combining hands-on department oversight with team support, training, and a strong commitment to resident care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily dietary department operations and supervise kitchen support staff.
  • Develop menus that meet nutritional guidelines and resident dietary needs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and cost control for dietary services.
  • Help train team members and maintain consistent meal service quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Willingness to help train staff and support ongoing team development.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Dietary Manager credential, or willingness to attend school while working toward it.
  • 1-2 years of experience leading dietary services in a nursing home and assisted living setting.
  • Experience leading kitchen or dietary support staff and training team members.
  • Knowledge of nutrition planning, food safety, and sanitation compliance.
  • Experience managing inventory, budgets, and departmental documentation for dietary services.
