Community Compliance Specialist

Second Avenue Realty seeks a Community Compliance Specialist to ensure our single-family rental portfolio meets regulatory, lease, and internal policy requirements. In this role, you will review resident files, leases, and property records, monitor adherence to fair housing and local regulations, and coordinate corrective actions with operations and property management teams. You'll analyze compliance data, prepare reports, support resident communications on compliance matters, and help refine processes and documentation. This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with housing, lease, and internal policy requirements across assigned properties
• Review and audit resident files, leases, and property records for accuracy and completeness
• Interpret and apply fair housing, local, and state regulations to community operations
• Identify compliance risks and coordinate corrective actions with property and operations teams
• Analyze compliance metrics and prepare regular reports for leadership
• Support resident communications related to compliance issues and documentation requirements
• Maintain organized compliance records and documentation in company systems
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve compliance processes and controls
• Assist with training staff on compliance procedures and regulatory updates
• Collaborate with technology and data teams to leverage tools that enhance oversight and reporting
