Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with strong product judgment, hands-on AI fluency, and experience building products in financial services, fintech, banking, payments, insurance, lending, wealth management, or related regulated industries.
The ideal candidate is an AI-native Product Manager who uses AI tools as part of their daily product workflow not simply as occasional productivity tools. The candidate should be comfortable using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Lovable, Replit, or similar platforms for product research, analysis, requirements, prototyping, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
This person will own a product area end-to-end, from customer and market discovery through roadmap planning, delivery, launch, adoption, and performance measurement.
Key Responsibilities
Product Management
- Own product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, delivery, launch, and ongoing optimization.
- Conduct customer discovery, market research, competitive analysis, and user research.
- Develop and manage a 6 12 month product roadmap aligned with customer and business objectives.
- Translate customer and business needs into product initiatives, epics, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Define and track KPIs related to adoption, engagement, retention, revenue, customer satisfaction, and product health.
- Measure product outcomes after launch and use data to drive future priorities.
- Identify customer pain points, market opportunities, product gaps, and areas for differentiation.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and senior leadership.
- Present product recommendations, trade-offs, priorities, and decisions to executives and client stakeholders.
- Guide Product Owners, Business Analysts, and junior Product Managers on product execution and prioritization.
- Step into Product Owner responsibilities when required to maintain delivery momentum.
AI-Native Product Execution
- Use AI tools as a core part of the product management workflow.
- Apply AI to accelerate:
- Customer and market research
- Competitive analysis
- Interview and feedback synthesis
- Data analysis
- Product requirements and specifications
- User stories and acceptance criteria
- Product documentation
- Executive presentations and stakeholder communication
- Build or guide the development of functional prototypes using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Lovable, Replit, or similar AI-assisted development platforms.
- Use rapid prototypes to validate product concepts with customers and stakeholders before committing significant engineering resources.
- Critically evaluate AI-generated output and understand its limitations.
- Apply strong human product judgment to validate AI recommendations and make final product decisions.
- Share effective AI workflows and practices with product and delivery teams.
Financial Services Domain
- Develop a strong understanding of financial products, customer journeys, business models, and operating environments.
- Translate financial-services customer needs into actionable product priorities.
- Understand product considerations related to:
- Customer onboarding
- Payments and transactions
- Account servicing
- Risk and compliance
- Data security and privacy
- Revenue and pricing
- Customer retention
- Operational efficiency
- Work effectively with financial-services SMEs, business stakeholders, compliance teams, and technical teams.
- Identify churn risks, deal blockers, customer pain points, and expansion opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software, SaaS, product engineering, technology services, or related technology environments.
- 4+ years of hands-on Product Management experience.
- Proven experience owning a product or major product area from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization.
- Experience creating and managing a 6 12 month product roadmap.
- Demonstrated success delivering measurable business or customer outcomes.
- Strong experience with customer discovery, market analysis, product positioning, packaging, pricing, and go-to-market.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in Product Management.
- Experience with AI-assisted prototyping or development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Lovable, Replit, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, banking, payments, insurance, lending, wealth management, financial software, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of product metrics, including adoption, retention, churn, revenue, expansion, and customer satisfaction.
- Strong Agile experience, including backlog management, sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery planning.
- Strong experience with Jira and product documentation.
- Working knowledge of APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, software architecture, and data flows.
- Experience working with cross-functional and distributed engineering teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with US-based customers, stakeholders, or product organizations.
- Experience in a technology services or client-facing consulting environment.
- Experience building products in regulated or transaction-intensive industries.
- Experience mentoring Product Owners, Business Analysts, or junior Product Managers.
- Experience working with AI/GenAI-enabled products.
- Experience creating working prototypes independently using AI-assisted development platforms.
- Experience presenting product strategy and recommendations to senior executives.
