The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely.
• Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate logistical tasks.
• Maintain a secure and organized work environment in compliance with safety protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery in logistics or industrial settings is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to flexible schedules, including night shifts.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
