Job Description

Plastipak Packaging, Inc., a global leader in rigid plastic packaging and recycling, seeks a Human Resources Generalist to support our manufacturing workforce. In this role, you will administer HR policies and procedures, coordinate full-cycle recruiting and onboarding, and support training and development initiatives. Responsibilities include employee relations, performance and attendance support, HR data and reporting, and benefits administration. You will partner with supervisors to ensure consistent application of policies, promote a safe, high-performance culture, support compliance with labor and safety regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement and long-term talent growth.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and interpret HR policies, procedures, and programs for plant employees
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding for hourly and salaried roles
  • Support employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution in partnership with supervisors
  • Maintain HRIS records, prepare HR metrics, and ensure accurate employee data and reporting
  • Assist with benefits administration, leaves of absence, and open enrollment support
  • Coordinate training, compliance, and development programs for manufacturing staff
  • Support performance management, corrective actions, and attendance processes
  • Ensure compliance with employment, safety, and company policies in a manufacturing environment
  • Partner with leaders to drive engagement, retention, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support workforce planning and talent pipelines
