Senior SAP Functional Consultant - Sales and Distribution (SD)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP SD Functional Consultant to join our ECC to S/4HANA conversion project team. In this role, you will be a key contributor throughout the full project lifecycle—from discovery and fit-gap analysis through go-live and hypercare. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience delivering S/4HANA migrations and deep expertise in the Sales and Distribution module, including a thorough understanding of S/4HANA simplifications and their business impact.

Required Qualifications

•         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

•         7+ years of hands-on SAP SD functional consulting experience.

•         Minimum 2 full-lifecycle SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversion or migration projects (brownfield, greenfield, or selective data transition) in a lead SD functional role.

•         Deep expertise in core SD processes: order-to-cash, pricing and conditions, shipping and transportation, billing, rebates/settlements, and intercompany sales.

•         Demonstrated knowledge of S/4HANA SD simplification items, including the impact of the Business Partner (BP) migration replacing customer master, changes to availability check, and output management changes.

•         Experience with SAP Activate methodology and familiarity with project workstreams (Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy).

•         Hands-on experience with data migration tools—LTMC/LTMOM, LSMW, or equivalent—for SD master and transactional data.

•         Proficiency in writing detailed functional specifications and working alongside ABAP developers on RICEFW objects.

•         Experience with SUM (Software Update Manager) activities including SPDD/SPAU remediation is a plus.

•         Excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical migration impacts into clear business terms for non-technical stakeholders.

•         Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment and meet milestone deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

•         SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Sales (current version preferred).

•         Experience with S/4HANA Cloud or Rise with SAP engagements.

•         Familiarity with SAP Advanced Returns Management (ARM) or SAP Order Management Foundation.

•         Experience with SAP EWM or TM integration in an S/4HANA context.

•         Prior consulting experience in a project-based delivery model with a system integrator or advisory firm.
