Position Announcement
Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the Student Life department!

Summary of Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Technical Director, the student will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

• Provides technical support in event spaces and venues.
• Performs the setting up and breaking down of AV and lighting equipment for campus events.
• Runs campus events.
• Performs hands-on repairs to AV and lighting equipment and related systems.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

• Must be a current UVU student.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish or ASL preferred, but not necessary.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A lot of stretching, reaching, standing, walking, and sitting.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Knowledge of different AV systems
• Knowledge of digital and analog AV signals
• Knowledge of Mac OS and Windows OS
• Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and researching technical issues
• Skills with troubleshooting AV technology
• Skills in customer service and interpersonal communication
• Ability to perform specific tasks in a timely and professional manner
• Ability to be highly self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly
• Ability to perform other job-related duties as assigned
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
