We are seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join a leading specialist provider of education for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s, and Speech, Language, and Communication needs. This is an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built school and contribute to its development, ensuring an outstanding educational experience for every pupil.

The Role

• Inspire and educate young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs through art.
• Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of pupils aged 8-16.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-esteem.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, teaching assistants, and therapists to support pupil development.
• Contribute to the growth and success of a brand-new, state-of-the-art educational facility.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, helping them to connect with the subject matter and express themselves.

What You'll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous teaching experience.
• A genuine passion for Art and its transformative impact on young lives.
• A 'can-do' attitude, with the ability to be a team player and support colleagues.
• Resilience, dedication, and the ability to relate to pupils with diverse needs.
• Enthusiasm and expertise to develop the art department.
