Job Description
We are seeking a professional and organized Assistant Manager to join our team at our Albany location (5296 Florida Blvd). In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading a team of associates, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, operational efficiency, and a commitment to driving business success while maintaining a supportive and collaborative work environment.
- Supervise and mentor store associates, providing coaching, feedback, and performance reviews to support their professional development
- Assist in scheduling staff, managing time off requests, and ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and stock rotation
- Monitor sales performance and work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and business objectives
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Manage cash handling procedures, process transactions, and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and local regulations
- Organize and conduct staff training sessions on products, services, and customer service standards
- Analyze operational metrics and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Support the Store Manager in implementing company initiatives and strategic programs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment for both customers and employees
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills
- Customer service excellence and a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to analyze data and interpret operational metrics
- Cash handling experience and knowledge of financial procedures
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Preferred: Experience in staff training and development programs
- Preferred: Knowledge of inventory management systems and practices
- Preferred: Sales expertise and track record of exceeding performance targets
