Senior Atlassian Systems Engineer – Jira & Confluence

<>Position Overview <>Manage and optimize enterprise Jira and Confluence environments supporting thousands of users. Focus on administration, workflow optimization, automation, integrations, troubleshooting, governance, and platform improvements. <>Key Responsibilities
  • <>Administer and configure Jira Cloud and Confluence environments.
  • <>Manage Jira workflows, workflow schemes, screens, custom fields, permissions, notifications, JQL, and automation.
  • <>Configure Confluence spaces, permissions, and settings.
  • <>Optimize workflows, standardize processes, and implement automation solutions.
  • <>Administer Atlassian Marketplace apps, plugins, upgrades, and integrations.
  • <>Develop scripts and automation using Python and/or Groovy.
  • <>Work with REST APIs and JSON for integrations and automation.
  • <>Troubleshoot complex platform issues and coordinate vendor escalations.
  • <>Assess upstream and downstream impacts of platform changes.
  • <>Support production deployments, maintenance, and platform upgrades.
  • <>Maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
  • <>Provide end-user training and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
<>Required Qualifications
  • <>5+ years of Atlassian administration experience, primarily with Jira.
  • <>Experience supporting enterprise environments with thousands of users.
  • <>Strong Jira Cloud administration and Confluence configuration skills.
  • <>Expertise in Jira workflows, schemes, JQL, permissions, custom fields, and automation.
  • <>Experience with Atlassian Marketplace apps and plugins.
  • <>Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and Python and/or Groovy scripting.
  • <>Experience troubleshooting enterprise Jira and Confluence environments across cloud and/or on-premises infrastructure.
  • <>Understanding of system integrations, Agile methodologies, and SDLC processes.
  • <>Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
<>Preferred Qualifications
  • <>Atlassian certifications.
  • <>Experience with Grafana, Splunk, or similar monitoring tools.
  • <>Experience integrating Jira and Confluence with enterprise applications.
  • <>Experience supporting AWS-based environments.
