A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Application Security Engineer - Threat Modeling Automation Lead
Position type: Contract (12 months w/ extension)
Location: Charlotte, NC/ Las Colinas, TX/ Chandler, AZ
Hybrid (3 days onsite/ 2 day remote)
As an Application Security Engineer - Threat Modeling Automation Lead, you will:
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Lead the organization's automated threat modeling program and drive its ongoing evolution.
  • Define and implement the technical strategy for automated and AI-assisted threat modeling capabilities.
  • Build and enhance automation solutions that support security assessments and threat modeling activities.
  • Develop AI-assisted capabilities that improve threat detection, analysis, and security review processes.
  • Conduct hands-on threat modeling for applications, services, and enterprise platforms.
  • Review system architectures, application designs, and deployment environments to identify security risks.
  • Analyze source code, application workflows, and infrastructure components as part of threat modeling exercises.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience leading and performing end-to-end threat modeling activities, including threat identification, risk assessment, mitigation planning, and validation.
  • Experience reviewing application architectures and applying application security principles to identify vulnerabilities and design risks.
  • Hands-on software engineering experience with the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and develop technical solutions.
  • Experience building security automation, integrating security tools, and developing scalable security workflows.
  • Knowledge of AI and LLM technologies and experience utilizing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Devin, or similar solutions.
  • Experience developing AI-assisted security capabilities, threat modeling solutions, or security automation platforms.
  • Experience analyzing source code and application components to identify security risks and threats.
  • Understanding of cloud environments, APIs, distributed systems, microservices, and modern application architectures.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: Between $97 - $102 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
