We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Developer to join our team based in Henderson, Western Australia. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate, providing support to make your transition as smooth as possible.
In this role, you will be responsible for the technical leadership, delivery and people management of our software development team. You will drive the development of business-critical applications built on .NET and Microsoft Azure technologies, while leading and developing a high-performing team focused on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Working closely with the Solutions Architect and business stakeholders within an Agile environment, you will help shape the technical direction of our applications, drive development standards and ensure the successful delivery of secure, scalable and high-quality solutions.
The Role- Lead the development, testing and deployment of software solutions built on .NET and Microsoft Azure.
- Manage, mentor and support developers, building technical capability and encouraging professional growth.
- Support project planning through accurate estimates, prioritisation, and resource management.
- Establish and maintain software development standards, including coding practices, testing, security and documentation.
- Collaborate with the Solutions Architect and business stakeholders to deliver maintainable solutions that meet business objectives.
- Lead the adoption of AI-assisted development practices to enhance team capability and delivery outcomes.
- Remove delivery impediments and support the team in overcoming technical challenges.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
- Drive high quality outcomes through effective testing, debugging, and CI/CD practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and promote continuous improvement across the development process.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks and industry trends to identify opportunities that enhance platform capabilities.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive experience in software development, with previous experience in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate development teams in delivering large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and modern development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to navigate complex challenges.
- A solid understanding of application security principles and secure development practices.
It is essential that you have experience with:
- C# .Net / .Net Core
- ASP.NET
- Entity Framework
- Microsoft SQL Server
Highly desirable
- Experience with Domain Driven Design
