Location: Lake Mary, FL — Local candidates only
Work Arrangement: Mostly Remote; occasional onsite support may be required

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Splunk DBA / Administrator with strong hands-on experience administering Splunk Enterprise in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Splunk installation, configuration, monitoring, security, data ingestion, and troubleshooting, along with strong experience supporting Splunk infrastructure in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.

The candidate should be comfortable managing Splunk Forwarders, Search Heads, Indexers, Deployment Management, and Licensing, while supporting configuration changes and deployments throughout the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Splunk Enterprise in a large-scale enterprise environment.

  • Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot Splunk Enterprise components.

  • Manage and support Splunk Indexers, Search Heads, Forwarders, and Deployment Servers.

  • Configure and manage Splunk Forwarders for data collection and ingestion.

  • Monitor Splunk infrastructure, system health, performance, capacity, and availability.

  • Manage Splunk licensing and troubleshoot licensing-related issues.

  • Configure and support data ingestion pipelines and troubleshoot ingestion problems.

  • Deploy and manage Splunk applications, add-ons, configurations, and deployment packages.

  • Administer Splunk security, roles, permissions, authentication, and access controls.

  • Support IAM integrations and enterprise authentication mechanisms.

  • Troubleshoot complex Splunk infrastructure, application, operating system, and system issues.

  • Perform Splunk configuration changes and deployments across Development, Test, QA, and Production environments.

  • Support Splunk deployments throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Work with application, infrastructure, security, and development teams to implement Splunk solutions.

  • Perform system maintenance, configuration management, upgrades, and operational support.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational standards.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on Splunk Administration experience in an enterprise environment.

  • Strong experience with Splunk Enterprise installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance.

  • Strong experience with RHEL / Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.

  • Experience administering:

    • Splunk Forwarders

    • Splunk Indexers

    • Splunk Search Heads

    • Deployment Management / Deployment Server

    • Splunk Licensing

  • Strong understanding of Splunk data ingestion and data onboarding.

  • Experience deploying and managing Splunk applications and add-ons.

  • Experience with Splunk monitoring, health checks, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience managing Splunk security and access controls.

  • Experience with IAM integrations and enterprise authentication.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience supporting configuration changes and deployments across the SDLC.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise Splunk environments.

  • Experience with Splunk distributed architecture.

  • Experience with Splunk upgrades and migrations.

  • Experience with Linux system administration.

  • Experience with enterprise security and authentication platforms.

  • Strong production support and incident troubleshooting experience.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
