Job Overview:

Pay Range: $88.10hr - $93.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• Thorough understanding of PC industry standard busses, such as HT, PCI, PCIe, LPC, USB, and SATA.
• Detailed knowledge of high speed digital design and signal integrity.
• Strong understanding of BIOS, OS and driver interactions at the system level.
• Proficient understanding of x86 CPU architecture and functionality.
• Experience as a Hardware Designer or Systems Debug Engineer at a computer hardware company.
• Experience working on at least 2 projects from development through bring-up, validation, and production release.
• Expert use of tools such as Jtag debuggers, logic analyzers, SATA, USB, and PCIe business analyzers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Debug PC systems with an emphasis on platform level debug.
• Provide root cause analysis and guidance to internal and customer design teams to help close gating issues.
• Support the customer through development or sustaining engineering phases.
• Travel as needed to support the customer.
• Operate as a self-starter and manage high levels of ambiguity.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with switching power supplies.
• Strong knowledge of chipset architectures and DDR 4/5 memory interface.
• Familiarity with tools such as schematics capture, PLD, PCB layout, signal integrity, and simulation.

Qualification And Education:

• Bachelors degree plus 5-7 years of experience, or Masters degree plus 5 years of experience is desired.
