Cybersecurity Architect

Location: Maryland Heights, MO Salary: $130,000.00 USD Annually - $150,000.00 USD Annually Description: Our client is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Architect
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to design and strengthen security across enterprise IT and manufacturing Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role requires hands-on cybersecurity architecture experience and a strong understanding of industrial systems, including ICS/SCADA environments, network segmentation, and OT security.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cybersecurity architecture across enterprise IT and OT/manufacturing environments.
• Develop security architecture standards, documentation, policies, and technical requirements.
• Architect and support security technologies including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IAM, DLP, IDS/IPS, DSPM, and Zero Trust solutions.
• Design secure OT networks using segmentation, firewalls, monitoring, and threat-prevention controls.
• Lead vulnerability management, risk assessments, threat detection, and proactive threat-hunting activities.
• Support complex cybersecurity incidents and forensic investigations.
• Ensure security controls align with frameworks and requirements such as NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC, and SOC 2.
• Partner with infrastructure, manufacturing, business, and vendor teams to embed security into systems and projects.
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives from design through implementation and provide technical guidance to other IT team members.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including security architecture, engineering, or similar responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience securing Operational Technology (OT) or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of ICS/SCADA systems, PLC networks, and industrial network architecture.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, and DNP3.
• Experience with network segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Experience designing or implementing enterprise cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, DLP, or DSPM.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC, or SOC 2.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical, manufacturing, and business teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP, CISM, OSCP, or similar cybersecurity certification.
• Experience leading cybersecurity projects or mentoring technical team members.
