Join Macquarie as a graduate in Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) and begin your career in one of Macquarie's core businesses . You'll gain experience across a global business that provides capital and financing, risk management, market access, physical execution and logistics solutions across commodities, financial markets and asset finance. What role will you play?
As a graduate in Commodities and Global Markets, you'll build your expertise through hands-on work, take on increasing responsibility and contribute to longer-term projects and business priorities. You'll learn from experts across the business, including geologists, meteorologists, petroleum and mining engineers, data scientists, quant strategists, traders and advisers.
Our opportunities span a range of teams across Commodities and Global Markets, including :
- Quant Strategy , where you could help maintain and develop quantitative platforms and implement quantitative methods.
- Quantitative Investment Strategies Marketing , where you could support strategy development and explanation, client mapping, marketing and outreach.
- Business Operational Risk Management , where you could investigate incidents, support remediation and help assess the effectiveness of business controls.
- Quantitative Investment Solutions Structuring , where you could apply creative problem-solving to quantitative models, systems and solutions for institutional clients.
- Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting , where you could analyse transaction reporting data, investigate reporting issues and support regulatory, process and technology change.
- Post Trade Data, where you could support data governance, reporting and controls, develop solutions using SQL and Python, and partner with technology, front office and risk teams to improve data quality. Credit
- Credit Capital and Liquidity , where you could analyse portfolio capital and funding usage, assess trade structures and support senior management in managing derivative portfolios.

- supporting transaction reporting under key financial markets regulations, including EMIR, MiFID and SFTR

As a graduate, you will:
- Take part in an orientation to learn about Macquarie business groups, with your fellow analysts and expand your professional network .
- Receive formal training, including financial modelling and presentation skills, but at its core the program provides practical on-the-job learning to further your career. If you have ideas that have merit, we'll give you the opportunity to develop and test them to create new possibilities .

You have a unique perspective. We want to hear it. We welcome applications from final-year undergraduate and master's degree students who will graduate in January to July 2027.
- You are studying Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance or another quantitative field of study.
- You are curious and analytical, enjoy solving difficult problems in complex markets and can communicate complex concepts clearly.
- You like to collaborate with others and are comfortable building strong working relationships.
- You have an interest in financial services , learn quickly and bring a proactive, resourceful and positive approach to new challenges .
- You have a strong attention to detail with experience and comfort in Excel.
- An interest in technology, data analytics emerging AI tools would be beneficial for many of our opportunities . Experience using tools such as Excel or Python may be required depending on the role.
