Job Title: Quality Materials Handler III

Job Location: Portsmouth, VA

Job Type: Contract

Pay Range: $15.00hr - $20.00hr

Job Overview:

The candidate will perform a wide variety of activities to support the Quality Management System. Responsibilities include performing routine quality control audits to ensure procedural compliance, daily verification of picking activities, and reporting daily service issues to teams in morning meetings. The successful candidate will actively analyze and report service issues trends, provide real-time feedback and error correction to prevent issues before they escalate, and remove damaged product from pickable locations. Additionally, the candidate will conduct spot-check inspections of production operations, participate in the internal audit program, and may assist in supporting the Document Control program, record retention areas, and sample retention areas.

• Ability to follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Degree.
• 2+ years of warehouse operations experience.

Communication Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and small groups of employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, the candidate should have knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.

• Experience with SAGE or Great Plains ERP preferred.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - None.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to follow procedures and accurately document results.
• Understanding distribution processes of the organization s products and ability to recognize deviations from approved documented procedures.
• Attention to detail.

• Distribution Center.
