Job Description

Bremerton Collision Center is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Refinish Technician to join our growing team. As an Automotive Refinish Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, refinishing, and restoring vehicles to manufacturer and industry standards while ensuring every repair meets our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for refinishing by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as required.
  • Mix and match paint using computerized paint systems and manufacturer specifications.
  • Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats using professional spray equipment and approved refinishing techniques.
  • Perform color matching and blending to achieve seamless, factory-quality finishes.
  • Wet sand, polish, and buff completed paint work to ensure a flawless appearance.
  • Inspect completed work for quality, consistency, and imperfections, completing touch-ups when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint booth and work area.
  • Follow OEM repair procedures, company quality standards, and all workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with estimators, body technicians, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle delivery.
  • Support other shop operations and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Auto Body Painter or in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive paint products, applications, and techniques
  • Proficiency in preparing surfaces and mixing paint to achieve desired colors and finishes
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality paint jobs and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify and fix paint imperfections
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license
