PKI Engineering Lead (Public Key Infrastructure)

About the role

We are seeking a PKI Lead to provide architecture leadership and delivery accountability for enterprise PKI and cryptographic services. This role is responsible for defining PKI strategy, governing technical design, and ensuring reliable delivery of certificate and key management capabilities.

You will act as the senior authority for PKI design and delivery, working closely with security, infrastructure, and application stakeholders.

What you'll be responsible for

• Owning the PKI architecture and delivery outcomes across the organisation.
• Defining PKI trust models, certificate lifecycle patterns, and key management approaches.
• Acting as the primary client facing authority for PKI design and delivery decisions.
• Providing architectural oversight to PKI engineers and supporting teams.
• Ensuring PKI implementations align with security, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Managing cryptographic risk, lifecycle dependencies, and platform integrations.
• Supporting delivery planning, prioritisation, and technical assurance activities.
• Reviewing and approving PKI design artefacts and implementation approaches.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years' experience in PKI, cryptography, or security architecture roles.
• Deep understanding of certificate lifecycle management and trust models.
• Proven experience leading enterprise PKI implementations.
• Strong ability to engage senior stakeholders and provide clear technical direction.
• Experience operating in regulated or security sensitive environments.

Security Clearance

• Current NV2 Security Clearance

Work Location

Must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week.
