The Role • Perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, and servicing of network equipment. • Activate networks for projects supporting Department of Defense networks. • Conduct customer coordination, Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A), and execute reporting functions for new service activations. • Work directly with customers, solution architects, and vendor SMEs to implement changes and resolve issues. • Manage Service Orders in accordance with Change Management procedures, ensuring Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) are accurate. • Design and implement solutions to highly technical network problems through testing and configuration modifications. What You'll Need • Proficient knowledge of network hardware equipment specifications, configuration, and testing processes. • Experience configuring, activating, testing, and analyzing network systems. • Solid understanding of network engineering, problem management, and performance management. • Knowledge of data and voice network design, including routing protocols (BGP, ISIS), VLANs, and circuit configurations. • Experience with common network services (BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF) and appliances (routers, load balancers, firewalls). • An active Secret security clearance and a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
