AI Project Manager

Position: AI Project Manager
Location: Hybrid / Chicago, IL
Duration: Long Term Contract With potential extension.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Project Manager to provide project management and governance support for priority AI initiatives.
The successful candidate will manage complex projects, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, maintain project governance, and provide clear visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide project management support for priority AI projects and legacy refactoring efforts.
• Develop project charters, workplans, timelines, milestones, risk logs, issue logs, and dependency maps.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain the engagement workplan, risk register, and decision log.
• Track project progress and identify risks, issues, and potential delays.
• Produce weekly status reports and monthly executive reports for the Chief AI Officer and designated governance bodies.
• Coordinate business, technology, security, infrastructure, and vendor stakeholders.
• Support governance meetings and ensure action items are tracked through completion.
• Assist leadership with project prioritization and resource planning.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of project/program management experience.
• Strong experience managing complex enterprise technology initiatives.
• Experience with project planning, risk management, governance, dependencies, and executive reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
