Hybrid, onsite 4 days plus as needed after initial trail period of 4 weeks fully onsite.

Candidate will split the 4 days in the office between BOC, and Lake Kathy as they will be working with project teams at various locations (co-located teams)

Duration: 6 months but extendable to 18 months + Options
Shift: Business hours, 40 hours per week (Flexible); OT possible but unusual

Job description:

Participate as a Database Administrator as part of a team of five DBA’s and several contract DBA's supporting the enterprise wide database landscape . Act as primary DBA for a new GIS (graphical information systems) project being run by the business.

Scope of Services: Participate as a Database Administrator as part of a team of five DBA’s and several contract DBA's supporting the enterprise wide database landscape . Be involved in database projects and operational support.


Serve as the primary DBA on new database deployments as part of a modernization effort. Participate as part of a team in implementing vendor software, ensuring database performance and scalability. Implement vendor product for GIS (graphical information system).

DBA will assist project teams in choosing appropriate Database Architectures that fit the business requirements while aligning with IT Standards and Procedures.

DBA will be responsible for creating reference architectures for the IT and business teams to review and approve. In addition, a need to document changes to the environment and communicate effectively with the database team is vitally important.

Strong documentation, communication and critical thinking skills are required.

Candidate will be interacting with in house developers and end users as well as other contract resources.

May be asked to work on-call hours

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building new or modifying existing database systems by producing the prescribed deliverables
  • Work with Technical business teams and integrators as part of the ADI portfolio initiative
  • Mentor DBA team members
  • Experience required: average 10 years
  • May be asked to work on-call hours
