They are seeking a skilled engineer to contribute to significant shipbuilding initiatives within a well-established organization. The role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge submarine programs and impact future naval capabilities.

The Role

  • Provide crucial support to Submarine Ship Building (SHAPM) Program Offices, including COLUMBIA, VIRGINIA, and future attack submarine programs.
  • Contribute to the Marine Engineering Competency Domain, ensuring technical excellence.
  • Apply scientific and mathematical principles to develop practical engineering solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Engage in the design, development, and improvement of naval systems and equipment.
  • Analyze the environmental and user impact of developed products and systems.

What You'll Need

  • Master's level degree in any technical or engineering discipline.
  • A U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • Desired: 7 years of professional engineering experience.
  • Desired: 7+ years of experience in the design, test, qualification, and production of naval shipboard electrical and/or propulsion equipment.
  • Desired: Knowledge and experience with Submarines and/or the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
  • Desired: Experience with large electrical machines and/or power electronics.
