Position: Cybersecurity Analyst / SOC Analyst

Location: Pittsburgh, PA-Onsite

Duration: Full Time

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience.

3+ years of hands-on information security, SOC, cybersecurity operations, security administration, or security engineering experience.

Working knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, endpoint security, network security, and identity/access management.

Experience working with enterprise security tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability-management, email-security, endpoint-management, or identity platforms.

Understanding of common network protocols, firewalls, endpoint security, authentication, cloud services, and Windows-based enterprise environments.

Experience investigating security alerts and determining appropriate escalation or remediation steps.

Ability to work independently, prioritize competing issues, and follow incidents through resolution.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.

At least one recognized cybersecurity certification such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, or equivalent.

Microsoft 365 security technologies

Palo Alto Cortex

Proofpoint

Tanium

ServiceNow

SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms

Vulnerability scanning and remediation platforms

IT General Controls (ITGC)

NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, or similar security frameworks

Security operations within a geographically distributed or multi-site organization
