Sr. Java Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer with strong expertise in Java development, Spring Boot, API design, relational databases, and large-scale data processing. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable, high-performance applications, optimizing SQL queries, and developing reliable integrations in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

• Design and implement REST APIs and integration solutions using JSON, XML, messaging systems, and established integration patterns.

• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop efficient, maintainable solutions.

• Develop applications capable of processing large datasets, big data workloads, and large files.

• Write, analyze, and optimize SQL queries to improve database performance and data retrieval efficiency.

• Work with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and support database design and performance tuning.

• Implement Java multithreading and optimize Java application performance.

• Develop and maintain batch processing applications using Spring Batch.

• Work with messaging technologies such as Kafka and/or MQTT.

• Troubleshoot application, API, database, and data-processing issues in Unix/Linux environments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software.

• Follow engineering best practices, including object-oriented design, design patterns, code reviews, automated testing, and reusable code development.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in Java development.

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.

• Extensive experience designing and developing REST APIs and scalable application interfaces.

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles and software design patterns.

• Hands-on experience with relational databases, SQL development, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Experience with large-scale data processing, big data environments, and handling large files.

• Strong understanding of Java multithreading and application performance tuning.

• Experience with Spring Batch and enterprise application integration.

• Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka and/or MQTT.

• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and troubleshooting application issues.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with automated testing and developing reliable, maintainable, production-ready code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python programming.

• Exposure to Hadoop and Apache Spark.

• Experience with Docker and Jenkins.

• Familiarity with distributed data-processing environments and performance optimization techniques.
