Job Description

Position Summary:

The IT Administrator supports the stability, security, and performance of the organization s technology ecosystem. This role provides hands-on administration, configuration, and troubleshooting across enterprise platforms including infrastructure systems, cloud environments, and Salesforce while ensuring compliance with organizational standards. The IT Administrator partners with cross-functional teams to enhance system capabilities, streamline processes, and deliver high-quality technical support. Responsibilities may include specialization in infrastructure, Salesforce, or other enterprise applications, while maintaining broad technical proficiency across administrative tools and technologies.

This role is hybrid - 2 days/week onsite.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise platforms (infrastructure systems, Salesforce, SharePoint, cloud services) to ensure performance, security, and alignment with business needs.
  • Provide technical support, diagnosing and resolving complex user-reported issues in a timely, customer-focused manner.
  • Perform system health checks, monitoring, audits, backups, and disaster recovery activities, proactively addressing performance or security risks.
  • Manage user provisioning, role-based access, and permissions in accordance with security and data privacy standards.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers and infrastructure technologies, including Windows/Linux OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Administer cloud and hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform), including VM provisioning, storage, IAM, cost optimization, and hybrid identity solutions (Azure AD Connect, Okta, SSO).
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce environments, including profiles, permissions, security settings, page layouts, record types, and flows.
  • Support workflow automation and scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Apply OS and application patches, updates, and security hardening using tools such as WSUS, SCCM, or Ansible.
  • Monitor and enforce security and compliance requirements, including endpoint protection, vulnerability response, and adherence to SOX, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and internal audit standards.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand requirements and implement technology solutions that support operational efficiency.
  • Document configurations, processes, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base content; contribute to runbooks and training materials.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate workflows across systems and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may evolve with business needs.

Skills:

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a technology discipline or business-related role.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with system implementation, administration, configuration, and access control.
  • Experience contributing to documentation, training materials, or knowledge bases.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (if supporting Salesforce environments).

Skills Required

  • Ability to configure, administer, and maintain enterprise platforms, workflows, integrations, and access controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Understanding of identity management protocols and role-based provisioning/deprovisioning.
  • Experience with operating systems (Windows/Linux), virtualization, cloud platforms, and DevOps/IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).
  • Familiarity with backup/recovery solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Azure Backup) and patching tools (WSUS, SCCM, Ansible).
  • Proficiency with Salesforce declarative tools (if applicable): page layouts, record types, validation rules, flows, Lightning App Builder.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Customer-focused mindset with commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Financial Services or Auto Lending.
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft AZ-104, MS-102; RHCSA; AWS SysOps; Salesforce Advanced Administrator).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce development tools (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components) or third-party tools (Tableau CRM, Copado).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in STEM, Business, or related field; equivalent professional experience may substitute
