Job Description

Technology is fundamental to how Macquarie's market-facing businesses operate, from commodities and trading through investment management, capital markets, risk, operations and regulatory reporting.
We are looking for a senior leader to shape Technology Audit across Commodities and Global Markets, Macquarie Asset Management and Macquarie Capital globally. Sitting at the intersection of markets, technology and risk, you will have the opportunity to influence Internal Audit's focus areas, work closely with senior business and Technology leaders, and provide assurance over the critical applications, platforms and technology-enabled processes that underpin these businesses.

What role will you play?

You will lead the Internal Audit Technology portfolio across Macquarie's market-facing businesses, with a significant focus on Commodities and Global Markets, alongside Macquarie Asset Management and Macquarie Capital. You will shape continuous risk assessment, audit strategy and portfolio priorities, ensuring assurance remains focused on the areas of greatest business and technology risk.

Taking an end-to-end, front-to-back view, you will assess how critical applications, platforms, data and controls support the business, and where technology risk could have material operational, financial or regulatory impact.
Working closely with business-aligned auditors and specialist colleagues across Technology, Data, AI and Operational Resilience, you will help ensure the right assurance is brought to the risks that matter most. You will influence audit priorities, challenge conclusions and provide senior judgement on complex, high-risk or contentious matters.
As a senior leader, you will provide oversight, challenge and direction across the portfolio, ensuring high-quality assurance and robust outcomes on the most significant technology risks.

You will lead and develop a globally connected Technology Audit team spanning London, New York and Sydney, setting high standards, building capability and creating an environment where people can perform at their best.
You will also help shape the future of audit, championing the use of data, automation and AI to deliver deeper insight, strengthen risk assessment and enhance assurance effectiveness.
