Are you looking for a hands-on career where your work makes a real difference for homeowners and businesses? Town & Country Services is looking for a full-time Generator Installer to join our growing team in Tonica, IL.

As a Generator Installer, you will play an important role in helping our customers have reliable backup power when they need it most. You will be responsible for assisting with and completing generator installations, ensuring equipment is properly installed, connected, tested, and ready to operate safely and reliably.

BECOMING OUR GENERATOR INSTALLER

As a Generator Installer at Town & Country Services, you'll help bring reliable backup power to our customers' homes and businesses.

You will work alongside our experienced team to install generators and related equipment, prepare installation sites, complete necessary electrical and mechanical connections, and ensure each system is properly installed and ready for operation.

Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential to making sure every installation meets our high standards and provides our customers with dependable power.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Install standby and backup generators at residential and light commercial properties.
• Assist with site preparation and equipment placement.
• Install and connect generator components and related equipment.
• Perform electrical and mechanical installation work as required.
• Follow installation plans, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.
• Complete wiring, connections, and other installation tasks within your area of training and experience.
• Test and verify generator operation after installation.
• Assist with startup and commissioning of newly installed generators.
• Identify and communicate installation issues or potential problems to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable codes.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers while working in their homes or businesses.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians, installers, and team members.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly.
• Continue developing your technical skills through company-provided training.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, technical specifications, and safety procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in residential and light commercial environments.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Previous generator installation experience.
• Electrical experience or knowledge.
• Mechanical experience, especially with small engines or generators.
• Experience with residential or light commercial electrical systems.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with generator manufacturers and installation requirements is a plus.
