Conklin Automotive Group is looking for a skilled Automotive GM Certified Service Technician to join our renowned service team. As a GM Certified Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work on General Motors vehicles. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of GM systems and specifications, alongside a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on GM vehicles according to manufacturer specifications
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues and develop effective repair solutions
- Communicate repair requirements and maintenance recommendations to customers clearly and professionally
- Stay up-to-date with GM training, certifications, and industry advancements
- Support a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with service advisors and other technicians to ensure customer satisfaction
- High school diploma or equivalent; GM certification is required
- Proven experience as a Service Technician, preferably with GM vehicles
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
