Job Description

Electrical Project Scheduler

Position Summary

Cache Valley Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Scheduler to support the planning, development, and execution of schedules for large-scale electrical construction projects. This position will work closely with project managers, superintendents, field leadership, and project controls teams to ensure projects remain organized, properly sequenced, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate understands construction sequencing, can translate project scope into detailed schedules, and is comfortable working with project teams to identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities for improvement. Experience supporting large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical/data center construction projects is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for electrical construction projects.
  • Build baseline schedules based on project scope, contract requirements, milestones, manpower needs, procurement, and construction sequencing.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, General Foremen, and other project stakeholders to gather schedule information and provide accurate updates.
  • Track project progress against established schedules and identify potential delays, constraints, and schedule risks.
  • Perform schedule updates based on actual field progress and changing project conditions.
  • Analyze critical path activities and communicate potential impacts to project leadership.
  • Assist project teams with short-term planning, look-ahead schedules, and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate electrical schedules with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, engineering teams, and other project stakeholders.
  • Incorporate procurement, equipment delivery, submittals, RFIs, and other project activities into the overall schedule.
  • Review general contractor and owner schedules to identify impacts to electrical scope.
  • Assist with schedule recovery plans when projects fall behind or project conditions change.
  • Prepare schedule reports, progress updates, and schedule-related information for internal and external project meetings.
  • Maintain accurate schedule documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate schedule status, upcoming milestones, and potential risks.
  • Support multiple projects and project teams as needed.

What You Bring

  • Experience with construction scheduling, project controls, project management, or a related construction role.
  • Electrical construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or similar construction scheduling software.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path methodology (CPM), project milestones, and schedule logic.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, project schedules,

3-5 years of construction scheduling, project controls, or related experience.

Experience scheduling construction projects.

Experience with Primavera P6.

Experience working on large-scale projects with complex schedules and multiple trades.
