Job Description

Overview

Circa $105,000 (Prorata) + 12% superannuation. Full time, 6 month fixed term. Hybrid working arrangements - mix of work from home and office days. Work in a brand new office building in Melbourne's CBD on Franklin Street.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse requirements and design solutions for cloud transition and new cloud native projects.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cloud based applications and databases.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (including offshore partners) throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support testing, quality control, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Contribute to strong team culture around version control, documentation, and best practice.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in software development or a related technology field.
  • Commercial programming experience in object oriented languages such as ASP.NET, C#, PowerShell, PHP, and functional programming such as React.
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS, including app/API design, DevOps fundamentals, cloud architecture, performance optimisation, basic networking/security, and scalability. Relevant certifications highly regarded.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL (stored procedures, triggers, indexes) in SQL Server and/or MySQL.
  • Web development skills across XML, XSL, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
  • Familiarity with full software development lifecycles and revision control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non technical audiences.
  • Sharp problem solving instincts, sound judgement under pressure, and great attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset, balanced with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., CANVAS), PowerBI reporting, or web application security is a bonus.
