About the Department / Program

Join Monash Health as a Quality Systems & Insights Analyst and play a key role in improving the safety and quality of care for one of Victoria's largest health services. Combining data analytics, quality systems expertise and clinical governance insight, you'll transform information into meaningful action, support organisation wide quality systems, and help leaders make decisions that improve patient outcomes. The Quality & Clinical Governance Unit plays a central role in supporting Monash Health's commitment to delivering safe, effective and high-quality care. The team provides leadership, systems and oversight that strengthen clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety and organisational learning across the health service.

The Quality Insights & Systems team manages and optimises key quality systems, supports the collection and analysis of clinical governance information, and provides meaningful insights that help leaders identify risks, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with programs and services across Monash Health, the team supports evidence-based decision-making and initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and organisational performance.

About the Role

This is a part time ongoing position located at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, you will work under the leadership of the Quality Insights & Systems manager and collaborate closely with the broader Quality & Clinical Governance team and stakeholders across Monash Health.

This is an exciting opportunity for a quality systems and data professional who enjoys combining analytical thinking, systems administration and continuous improvement to support safer patient care. The role is responsible for maintaining and optimising key organisational quality systems while developing meaningful clinical governance insights that inform decision-making and improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administering and optimising Monash Health's quality systems, including incident management, document control and audit platforms.
• Analysing clinical quality data and other information sources to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Developing and delivering clinical governance reports, dashboards and insights that support leaders and teams.
• Providing user support, education and training to improve staff capability in quality systems and data interpretation.
• Working with internal stakeholders, external vendors and partner teams to enhance system performance, data integrity and governance processes.
• Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, system enhancements and process optimisation projects.

This role will involve working with stakeholders across multiple Monash Health sites. A hybrid working arrangement may be available in line with team and organisational requirements.

About You

To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring demonstrated experience in systems administration, data analysis and quality improvement within a complex organisational environment.

You will be someone who is curious, analytical and solutions-focused, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and build strong collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will have:

• Experience administering, supporting or improving systems and processes in a complex organisation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and communicate actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presentations and development of guidance materials.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
• Experience providing education, training and support to end-users.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity and quality.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Experience using RiskMan, PROMPT, MARS or similar systems will be highly regarded.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Degree qualification in health, quality, business management, data analytics or a related discipline.
• Current right to work in Australia.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required screening checks, including National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence is highly desirable
• Knowledge of quality, safety and clinical governance principles within a health service environment.
• Experience working in a complex healthcare organisation.
