The Role

  • Provide exceptional gastronomic service and be the primary host for guests on Intercity and ICE trains.
  • Ensure a welcoming atmosphere and assist guests with boarding and disembarking.
  • Prepare food and beverages in the onboard restaurant.
  • Serve food and drink offerings to guests in both first and second-class carriages.
  • Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for guest inquiries, offering support and solutions.
  • Maintain high service quality to ensure guest satisfaction throughout their journey.

What You'll Need

  • Completed vocational training in a service-oriented profession (e.g., Restaurant Specialist, Hotel Specialist) OR initial professional experience in gastronomy or hotel industry.
  • Proven ability to drive sales through upselling and alternative offers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at handling various guest interactions and conflict resolution.
  • Proficiency with digital communication tools (tablets, apps).
  • Willingness to undertake overnight stays and work irregular shifts and rotating schedules.
  • Fluent in German (B2 level) and conversational English.
