Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead data center operations and enterprise routing/switching projects on-site in Milpitas, CA. This position balances hands-on data center infrastructure support with high-level network architecture, design, and deployment.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in core routing and switching (CCNP or CCIE preferred) and thrives in environments requiring high reliability and scalable network architecture. Note: This is a core network architecture and infrastructure engineering role, not a security analyst/engineer position.

Key Responsibilities
Data Center Operations (50%)
Maintain, manage, and optimize data center network switches, routers, and infrastructure components.
Execute 1–2 scheduled infrastructure changes per week with zero unplanned downtime.
Provide Tier 3/4 troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for data center network incidents.
Coordinate with hardware and service vendors for installations, upgrades, and maintenance of network appliances.
Network Architecture, Design & Deployment (50%)
Design and deploy enterprise LAN/WAN network solutions for ongoing and future business projects.
Plan and execute large-scale network infrastructure implementations from architecture through validation.
Conduct project planning, capacity planning, cost analysis, and vendor evaluation for new network hardware and technologies.
Author technical documentation, proposals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and data center environments.
Certifications: CCNP required; CCIE (Routing & Switching / Enterprise Infrastructure) strongly preferred.
Core Technical Expertise: Mastery of core routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies (VPC, STP, VLANs), and data center network fabrics.
Project Lifecycle: Strong experience with end-to-end network architecture, design, and deployment.
Work Arrangement: 100% on-site availability at the Milpitas, CA facility.
