Location: Dallas TX - Hybrid (Open to relocation for the right candidate)
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor investment portfolios for compliance with regulatory requirements, investment guidelines, and exposure limits.
- Conduct technical accounting research related to U.S. GAAP, statutory accounting, new investment strategies, and emerging accounting standards.
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of investment data through system reviews, reconciliations, and data validation processes.
- Prepare, review, and oversee statutory and GAAP investment reporting.
- Improve operational efficiency through process enhancements, automation initiatives, and data analytics solutions.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual investment accounting close activities.
- Maintain investment accounting policies, SOX controls, and internal control frameworks.
- Manage investment accounting and reporting for a diversified portfolio of invested assets.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in GAAP and insurance industry reporting
- Knowledge of US GAAP and insurance statutory reporting
- Prior exposure to investment accounting in private equity or wealth
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
