Location: Dallas TX - Hybrid (Open to relocation for the right candidate)

Job Responsibilities

    • Monitor investment portfolios for compliance with regulatory requirements, investment guidelines, and exposure limits.
    • Conduct technical accounting research related to U.S. GAAP, statutory accounting, new investment strategies, and emerging accounting standards.
    • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of investment data through system reviews, reconciliations, and data validation processes.
    • Prepare, review, and oversee statutory and GAAP investment reporting.
    • Improve operational efficiency through process enhancements, automation initiatives, and data analytics solutions.
    • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual investment accounting close activities.
    • Maintain investment accounting policies, SOX controls, and internal control frameworks.
    • Manage investment accounting and reporting for a diversified portfolio of invested assets.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in GAAP and insurance industry reporting
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and insurance statutory reporting
  • Prior exposure to investment accounting in private equity or wealth
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
