Job description

Reqiva is partnered with a high-growth, US-headquartered AI logistics platform backed by top-tier Silicon Valley investors. They're building their founding engineering team in Australia and are hiring Forward Deployed Engineers.

The company builds an AI-driven orchestration platform for the world's largest retailers and managing millions of deliveries.

The role

This is hands on engineering at the edge. It isn't pre sales and it isn't implementation. You'll build, deploy and operate production software directly with enterprise customers, working closely with the global product and AI teams.

You'll be part of the foundational team that defines how the Australian engineering office works. Expect to move fast, own outcomes, and see your work make a real world difference within weeks, not quarters.

What you'll do

  • Build, deploy and operate production systems used by major enterprise retailers

  • Work directly with customers' engineering, operations and leadership teams to understand their problems and deliver measurable outcomes

  • Take new products from concept to live deployment, then own and evolve them in production

  • Design and extend the core infrastructure behind global delivery orchestration

  • Partner with product and AI teams to shape product direction across APAC

  • Debug real-world logistics workflows across fleets, APIs and integrations

About you

  • 4+ years building and shipping production software

  • Strong experience with APIs, backend systems or platform integrations

  • Comfortable moving between code, customer problems and architecture decisions

  • Experience owning production systems: reliability, monitoring, and supporting services after launch

  • A bias toward speed, iteration and ownership, and comfort working with ambiguity

  • A clear communicator who can work directly with operators, CTOs and executives

  • Motivated by building software that touches the physical world at scale
