LGI Homes is seeking a Senior Accountant at our Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the corporate accounting team, responsible for day-to-day accounting, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and review of staff-prepared entries for assigned LGI Homes communities. This role plays an important part in the company's closing process and in meeting SEC reporting deadlines and supports external auditors throughout the year.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience reviewing the work of others
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities across multiple communities
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license or progress toward CPA
- Experience supporting SEC reporting or working with external auditors, including public accounting experience
- Homebuilding or real estate industry experience
- Experience with NewStar or other homebuilding accounting systems
