Autograph Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing manufacturing and engineering business in the Forest of Dean with the appointment of an experienced HR Officer / HR Advisor.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that values its people and is investing in the development of its HR function. You ll work closely with employees and managers, providing practical advice while helping to improve processes, strengthen engagement and create a positive working environment.
This is not purely an administrative position. You ll have the opportunity to take ownership, share ideas and become a trusted point of contact across the business.
Your responsibilities-
Provide practical advice to managers on HR policies and employee matters

Support employee relations cases, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters

Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and employee changes
-
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
-
Support training, development and performance-review activities
-
Assist with payroll information, reporting and HR administration

Help review and improve HR policies and processes
-
Support wider people and culture projects
-
Promote an inclusive, engaged and high-performing workplace

Previous experience in an HR Officer, HR Advisor or similar generalist role

A good understanding of HR processes and current employment legislation
-
Confidence supporting managers with employee matters

Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills

A proactive and approachable working style

The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

A CIPD qualification, or progress towards one, would be welcomed
-
Experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential
