Product Owner - ServiceNow Platform

We're looking for an experienced Product Owner to help drive value across a ServiceNow platform environment supporting multiple product areas, including platform enhancements, CMDB, SAM/HAM, BCM, SecOps, SPM, Now Assist, HRSD, and other strategic initiatives. This role partners closely with stakeholders, Product Management, Business Analysts, architects, and Agile delivery teams to shape priorities, maintain a healthy backlog, and ensure solutions align with business goals.
Responsibilities

• Own and manage product backlogs across assigned ServiceNow product areas.
• Prioritize enhancements, defects, technical debt, and feature requests based on business value and delivery needs.
• Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Facilitate workshops, refinement sessions, and requirement discussions to clarify needs and expectations.
• Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and release planning activities.
• Review completed work to confirm it aligns with agreed requirements and business outcomes.
• Partner with Product Management to translate roadmap goals into actionable work.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities across teams and product domains.
• Help establish repeatable Product Ownership practices, governance, and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and platform leadership to transfer knowledge and reduce long-term dependency on external support.

Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Product Management, or Agile delivery.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple backlogs effectively.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to make day-to-day prioritization and trade-off decisions.
• Experience supporting cross-functional delivery efforts and aligning work to business objectives.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow platform experience.
• Experience with one or more ServiceNow domains such as SPM, SAM/HAM, CMDB, BCM, SecOps, ITSM, IRM, HRSD, or employee experience/portals.
• CSPO, SAFe POPM, or a similar certification.
• Experience supporting digital transformation or platform modernization initiatives.
• Comfort working on process improvement and operating model maturity efforts.
