Job Description

The Evergreen Center is a private non-profit organization that provides living and learning environments for children and adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities including autism, physical disabilities, neurobehavioral disorders, and other special needs. The Evergreen Center welcomes all individuals from various backgrounds and experiences through cultural equity, inclusion, and diversity.

Evergreen Center is seeking a full time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide consultative speech and language services to classrooms and residences serving children from ages 6 to 22. The SLP is responsible for student evaluations, IEP goal development, staff training, and program development and monitoring. AAC experience is recommended due to a high use of communication systems and devices in our student population. The SLP is expected to complete AAC evaluations, make recommendations, provide staff training, and keep communication systems updated. This role works collaboratively with teachers, staff, and BCBAs to promote communication development across all settings.  We have a large and growing Therapy Department who work together to enhance student access to educational and community experiences and our clinicians have access to a variety of resources, devices, and materials to meet student needs. Opportunities exist for professional development and research. 

  • Must be a graduate of a certified degree program of Speech Pathology
  • Must be currently licensed or have filed for a license in Massachusetts
  • Must have or has applied for a teaching certification (Educator's Certificate) in Massachusetts
  • ASHA certification
