Summary
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and client-centered Recreational Therapist who thrives in a flexible, community-based setting. The ideal candidate is someone who values meaningful engagement, approaches therapy through a strengths-based lens, and is confident in using leisure as a tool to support client growth. We are looking for a self-motivated practitioner who is both compassionate and professional—someone who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team. Rate: $45/hr.
Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans tailored to client needs
- Facilitating 1:1 sessions in-home or in the community
- Promoting functional independence, leisure awareness, and social participation
- Collaborating with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with agency and payer requirements

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Recreational Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation.
- Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) in good standing.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clients effectively.
- Experience in behavioral management techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliable source of transportation.
- Personal computer or tablet for documentation.
Mileage reimbursement, expense reimbursement, flexible schedule.
