Position: Director of Data Analytics & BI
Location:
4-day onsite in Irvine, CA (Only local candidates will be considered)
Terms:
Direct-hire
Compensation:
175,000 to 220,000 plus annual bonus

We're partnered with a client seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics to lead enterprise data, analytics, and AI initiatives. This leader will own the vision, architecture, governance, and delivery of modern data platforms while driving data-driven and AI-enabled decision-making across the organization.

What You'll Do



  • Lead global Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Data Engineering teams supporting enterprise reporting, self-service analytics, and advanced analytics initiatives

  • Define and execute enterprise data strategy, including data architecture, governance, engineering, and analytics roadmaps

  • Drive modernization of cloud-based data platforms, data warehousing, and enterprise integration capabilities

  • Oversee data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data engineering standards across the organization

  • Lead analytics and reporting solutions that support Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and other business functions

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize AI capabilities, including conversational AI, agentic AI, and advanced analytics solutions that improve decision-making and automate business processes

  • Partner with Software Engineering, IT, Security, and business leaders to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant deployment of AI and data solutions

  • Manage enterprise data integrations across ERP, CRM, HR, manufacturing, quality, and operational systems

  • Establish scalable delivery frameworks, SDLC processes, governance models, and change management practices

  • Lead budgeting, workforce planning, vendor relationships, team development, and performance management for the BI and Analytics organization

  • Present strategic roadmaps, business cases, and performance metrics to executive leadership

  • Build strong relationships across the business to drive adoption of analytics, governance, and AI-driven capabilities


What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or related disciplines

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing BI, analytics, or data engineering teams

  • Proven experience implementing and managing enterprise cloud data warehouse solutions, data integration platforms, and analytics ecosystems

  • Experience delivering AI solutions, including conversational AI assistants and agentic AI workflows

  • Strong expertise in data governance, data quality, data architecture, and analytics modernization initiatives

  • Experience integrating enterprise business platforms, including ERP, CRM, HR, and operational systems

  • Knowledge of cloud analytics technologies, data visualization platforms, and modern data engineering practices

  • Strong understanding of data privacy, security, controls, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid SDLC methodologies

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills
