Role: IT Build Engineer
Salary: £27,500 to £30,000 (DOE)
Location: King's Lynn, Norfolk
Reporting To: Service Desk Team Lead
About Workplace IT provides CAF Compliant Co-Managed IT Services and Digital Safeguarding to large Health, Social Care, Housing, Education, Charity and Public Sector organisations across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Build, configure and prepare laptops, desktops, tablets and mobile devices for client deployments.
Enrol and configure devices using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
Follow documented customer build standards, security requirements and deployment procedures.
Perform comprehensive device testing and quality assurance checks before dispatch.
Install, configure and validate customer-specific software and applications.
Ensure all devices meet Workplace IT and customer security standards.
Securely package equipment and prepare devices for courier collection and delivery.
Maintain accurate records of all build, configuration and testing activities.
Assist with stock control, goods-in processing and asset management activities.
Support the Provisioning Team with change management and provisioning tickets when device build workloads permit.
Work closely with Service Desk, Projects and Customer Success teams to ensure successful device deployments.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of build, testing and deployment processes.
Skills & ExperienceGood attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow documented processes.
Ability to manage multiple build and deployment tasks simultaneously.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot would be advantageous. Experience building, configuring or deploying IT equipment would be beneficial. Understanding of basic IT hardware, software and networking concepts.
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced operational environment.

Working Pattern
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm
This is a full-time, office-based position in King's Lynn.

Interview Process
Stage 1: 30-minute Microsoft Teams interview.
Stage 2: 60-minute face-to-face interview in King's Lynn.
