HubSpot Developer

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Location: 100% Remote
Employment Type: W2 Only
Rate: Up to $75/hr 

Overview

We are seeking a HubSpot Architect / Developer with strong engineering and integration experience to design, build, and support enterprise-scale solutions within the HubSpot ecosystem. This position goes well beyond HubSpot administration and requires hands-on development expertise, including APIs, webhooks, custom automation, CRM extensions, data synchronization, and enterprise integrations.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing secure, scalable solutions that connect HubSpot with enterprise applications, identity platforms, data warehouses, CRM systems, and third-party SaaS solutions while supporting real-time and batch integration patterns.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams are essential.


Key Responsibilities

HubSpot Development & Platform Engineering

  • Design and develop advanced HubSpot solutions using:
    • Custom Objects
    • Associations
    • Custom-Coded Workflow Actions
    • Programmable Automation
    • CRM Extensions
    • UI Extensions
    • Serverless Functions
    • Custom Applications
  • Extend HubSpot using scalable and reusable engineering patterns.
  • Balance custom development with native HubSpot functionality to minimize technical debt.

API Development & Enterprise Integrations

  • Build and maintain secure integrations using:
    • HubSpot REST APIs
    • CRM APIs
    • Webhooks
    • OAuth 2.0
    • Private Apps
    • Middleware Platforms
  • Integrate HubSpot with CRM platforms, identity providers, data platforms, enterprise applications, and third-party services.
  • Implement robust integration patterns including:
    • Real-time and near-real-time processing
    • Asynchronous messaging
    • Batch data synchronization
    • Retry and error-handling mechanisms
    • Rate-limit management
    • Monitoring and reconciliation

Marketing & Sales Automation

  • Develop solutions supporting:
    • Lead Capture
    • Lead Enrichment
    • Lead Scoring
    • Lifecycle Management
    • Lead Routing
    • Nurture Programs
    • Campaign Processing
    • Sales and Marketing Handoff Workflows
  • Ensure automation is scalable and prevents duplicate processing, circular workflows, and conflicting updates across connected systems.

Data Management, Security & Compliance

  • Develop large-scale data migration and synchronization solutions.
  • Implement:
    • Data Validation
    • Transformation Logic
    • Duplicate Prevention
    • Field Mapping
    • Data Quality Controls
    • Reconciliation Processes
  • Ensure secure authentication, secrets management, encryption, audit logging, and protection of sensitive data.
  • Adhere to enterprise security, privacy, and compliance standards.

DevOps, Testing & Production Support

  • Partner with DevOps and QA teams to support:
    • Source Control (Git)
    • Automated Testing
    • CI/CD Pipelines
    • Release Management
    • Deployment Validation
    • Monitoring & Observability
    • Production Support
  • Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on HubSpot development experience.
  • Experience with HubSpot APIs, webhooks, private apps, and custom integrations.
  • Proficiency building custom-coded workflow actions and CRM extensions.
  • Experience integrating HubSpot with enterprise platforms and SaaS applications.
  • Strong understanding of API security, OAuth 2.0, authentication, and authorization.
  • Experience with data migration, synchronization, and data quality initiatives.
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and distributed systems concepts.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • HubSpot Marketing Hub and Sales Hub expertise.
  • Experience integrating HubSpot with Salesforce.
  • Experience with identity management platforms such as Okta.
  • Experience with Snowflake or enterprise data warehouse platforms.
  • Healthcare or regulated-industry experience.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI, PII, and enterprise compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting CI/CD, automated testing, and production operations.
