Quick overview
Job description
eShepherd is Gallagher’s boldest venture yet - a tech-forward AgTech start-up backed by 85+ years of global innovation. We’re progress-over-perfection and unapologetically hands-on. Our team builds world-first virtual fencing technology that’s reshaping agriculture for good.
The Product
At Gallagher, we don’t just imagine the future - we build it.
eShepherd™ is our breakthrough virtual fencing technology, enabling farmers and ranchers to monitor, move and manage cattle from anywhere.
Using GPS-enabled neckbands, powered by solar, producers can create digital fence lines from their phone, transforming how land is used, reducing labour, and improving both environmental and animal welfare outcomes.
This is innovation with real-world impact - on pasture health, productivity and profitability.
The Opportunity
Know the customer. Make the technology work for them. Build relationships that last.
Bringing new technology onto a ranch doesn’t end with the sale. That’s where Customer Success becomes critical.
eShepherd is continuing to expand in the United States, and we’re looking for a Customer Success Representative who can combine genuine credibility in agriculture with the ability to help customers confidently adopt new technology.
Based remotely in the Southern US, with occassional travel across the region, you’ll work directly with ranchers and livestock producers from onboarding and implementation through to ongoing adoption and success.
You’ll get to know how each operation works, understand what the producer is trying to achieve, and help translate eShepherd’s technology into practical outcomes on the ranch.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to customers, solving problems and seeing technology deliver results in the real world.
Why eShepherd?
eShepherd combines the energy and opportunity of a growing AgTech business with the stability and global expertise of Gallagher.
You’ll be joining at an exciting stage of our US growth, working with technology developed specifically for livestock producers and helping customers get genuine value from it.
And this isn’t customer success from behind a desk.
You’ll be close to the customer, close to the ranch and close to the product, with the opportunity to influence how we support producers as eShepherd continues to grow across the US.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll support our customers from onboarding through to long-term adoption and success, with responsibility for:
Leading new customers through onboarding, implementation and product training.
Building trusted, long-term relationships with ranchers and livestock producers.
Understanding individual ranching operations and helping customers apply eShepherd effectively to their property and goals.
Supporting customers to confidently use eShepherd's hardware, app and technology.
Proactively engaging with customers to encourage strong product adoption and ongoing value.
Identifying challenges early and working with customers and internal teams to find practical solutions.
Supporting customer retention, renewals and own long-term engagement.
Keeping customers informed about product improvements, new functionality and best practices.
Capturing customer feedback and bringing insights back into Product, Sales and Marketing.
Identifying customer stories, referrals and advocacy opportunities.
Working closely with Business Development to create a seamless transition from sale through onboarding and ongoing customer success.
Maintaining accurate customer information and activity within our CRM.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who can build credibility with a rancher, understand the realities of livestock production and make technology easy to understand.
You’ll ideally bring:
Experience in Customer Success, account management, AgTech, livestock services or a similar customer-facing environment.
Experience working with ranchers, livestock producers and/or personal experience within agriculture.
An understanding of beef cattle, grazing management or livestock production.
An interest in and confidence working with technology and AgTech solutions.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
A practical approach to problem-solving and the confidence to work through customer challenges.
The ability to translate technical information into clear, practical guidance for customers.
The ability to work autonomously and maintain momentum across multiple customer relationships.
Strong organisational skills and attention to customer follow-up.
A willingness to travel regularly throughout the region to support customers and attend industry events.
The ability to think about the bigger customer outcome while being willing to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
What you’ll get
Alongside the opportunity to join eShepherd at an exciting stage of growth, our US benefits include:
Competitive salary $57,000 – $70,000 USD per year plus 15% incentive.

Career growth opportunities as eShepherd scales globally
The tools and technology you need to succeed
A supportive, collaborative culture focused on practical problem-solving
Why make the move?
Because you can have the best of both worlds.
The pace, ownership and influence that comes with a growing AgTech business, combined with the backing of Gallagher.
You’ll work directly with producers, see eShepherd being used in real ranching operations and play an important role in making sure customers don’t just adopt the technology, but genuinely succeed with it.
If you understand agriculture, enjoy building lasting customer relationships and get satisfaction from seeing technology make a practical difference on the ranch, we’d like to meet you.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and the role may be filled before the closing date.
