Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and networking industry, is seeking a Principal Engineer, Networking (Not Design) to join their innovative team. As a Principal Engineer, Networking, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Department supporting the development of cutting-edge networking solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for advancing network technology, which will align successfully within the organization. This is a senior individual contributor role that requires end to end experience.

Job Title: Principal Engineer, Networking

Location: Remote OR Hybrid depending on location

Pay Range:$190,000 - $240,000
*Bonus structure and RSU - upside

What's the Job?

  • Define complex networking platform solutions and lead a multidisciplinary team through the entire development process.
  • Engage extensively during EVT phases, ensuring design quality metrics are achieved and maintained.
  • Manage a small supporting team, driving goals and objectives within a collaborative environment involving Technology, Development, and Customer teams.
  • Develop and maintain close technical relationships with suppliers and partners on product roadmaps and emerging technologies.
  • Lead technical responses for RFQs, prepare system requirements documents, and deliver technical proposals to stakeholders.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 15 years of network hardware design experience, with at least 10 years at the system level.
  • Strong knowledge of network product design across various market segments including enterprise access, data center infrastructure, and telecommunications.
  • Experience with CPU devices such as Intel & AMD x86 embedded processors and ARM embedded processors.
  • Familiarity with high-speed design, PCB materials, Serdes technology, and optical devices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
